Aquastat is the sole manufacturer of this chemical free unit for scale prevention in water systems which prevents the build-up of scale without the use chemicals or salt. It treats water physically by pulsating electrical discharges which interfere with the polarity of the dissolved scale-forming salts.

Simply fitted into the cold water pipe, the Aquastat MDU has proved itself over many years as an effective and economical solution wherever pipework, valves, pump parts or other equipment may be damaged or rendered inefficient by scale deposition.
Operating costs are insignificant because the unit uses no chemicals and consumes negligible power. The simplicity and robust construction of the unit and its controller means the maintenance requirement is minimal.
Designed specifically for once-through systems, such as calorifiers and hot-water boilers, as well as vented recirculating systems, there are also a variety of possible applications for the treatment of process and potable water where chemical treatment is unacceptable.
