Risk assessments for the prevention and control of Legionnaires’ Disease
The Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 affects a wide variety of organisations, groups and individuals who are directly responsible for the water systems in their premises. Any building that is accessible to the public is included and a risk assessment of that building is a legal requirement.
As an independent organisation we can offer a site-based risk assessment service based on the Health and Safety Executive’s Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 for the control of Legionella bacteria.
Our comprehensive assessments include:
- Asset identification
- Areas of concern and required remedial action
- Action plan
- Line drawing of your system
- Photographic evidence of non-conformities
- Water Management Programme
- General recommendations for maintaining a clean system
The ACOP recommends that a risk assessment is carried out and should be updated every 2 years.
